AUSTRALIA'S VERY WET TROPICS

On a  sunny day , the  Golden Gumboot  at  Tully , North Queensland ,where there is so much rain  frogs  get about on stilts.  Average annual rainfall is slightly more than 4000mm ( 160 inches). Highest  recording was 7900mm (316 inches ) in 1950.   Further  north , at  Babinda , rain is also a frequent   topic of  conversation .
