Some overseas visitors to Cowboys Island / Magnetic Island will never forget the place after they drove out to West Point , were abused and had their tyres slashed . Police investigated but it seems nobody was charged . Kind island Samaritan helped the stunned tourists , even patched their tyres .
In another wild event on the island, which kicked off in a house on Monday about midday and roared through until about 2am when a woman living nearby could stand it no longer and went over to remonstrate . She had to flee for her life when chased by dogs and jumped to safety over her fence like champion hurdler Sally Pearson .
