EASTER ISLAND LINK TO TERRITORY AND YABBA DABBA DOO

In his recent safari  to various parts of the Northern Territory, Darwin agronomist Robert Wesley Smith   came  back with   a  swag of interesting  photographs and   stories , some of which will  grace this blog ,  the   following  deals  with unusual  formations  in the bush , similar to  the  Easter Island  Moai .

Down  near  the Daly River, dubbed  Guardian of  the Daly. Wesley-Smith  was  informed that these outcrops are  limestone  formations on the northern end of the limestone basin  that stretches down  Katherine way.  A   local  politician  who knows the area , presumably  tongue in cheek ,  told him  it  is where  the  Flintstones  lived.
