ON FLAPDOODLE ISLAND : TIE ME SCRIM AND WALLABIES DOWN, KIM

Still blowing in the wind, tearing   and flapping about on the ground , the February  6 view of the Welcome to Magnetic Island  scrim banners  along  the   walkway  near the ferry terminal. The nearby  rock wallaby colony is disturbed  by  the situation, the anxious mother of  a young bounder , pictured below ,   in an exclusive interview , saying her  Joey   is so scared  by  the flapping scrim that it  spends  most of  its  time inside a  dark , dank cave , instead of being out in the sun, posing for and  being  fed  by   tourists ,who are careful not to tread on the  smelly dog  droppings  on  the  path .
It is reliably reported that the Townsville City Council  will  rectify the situation by the Fourth of  July  and the  Townsville  Bulletin , with its new policy to get out  and meet  people ,   will actually come to the island and  catch  up on  this   story,  which  should  have been on  its news  beat for   at   least  two  months , along with other subjects  covered by  this  blog .
